Practice Guidelines during Covid-19 Pandemic
Because of the close contact that is inherent to massage work, there are some strict professional guidelines I am required to follow at this time. Before booking a massage appointment, please read the following carefully.
All clients must complete a new health intake and a Covid-19 informed consent form before their first appointment. Please click on the links to view these forms, and come early to your appointment to fill them out in person.
At this time, I am not working with anyone who has tested positive for Covid-19, is exhibiting any signs or symptoms of Covid-19, or may have been exposed to someone with Covid-19.
If you have a change in health or exposure, please contact me to cancel your appointment. You will not be charged the late cancellation fee.
- I commit to you that if I feel sick, have been exposed to anyone with symptoms or who has tested positive for Covid-19, I will reschedule your appointment. I expect the same from my clients.
In regards to the recent Covid-19 guidance changes on June 30, 2021:
In the state of Washington, massage therapists are considered health-care professionals and must therefore continue to wear a mask while working. However, my practice is held within the BYC studio where mask wearing rules have become more relaxed. If you are coming in for a massage, you should be prepared to share common areas with people who may not be wearing masks. Furthermore, whether you wear a mask during your appointment is up to you. If you are not fully vaccinated, I strongly encourage you to keep wearing a mask at all times, but I will not be requiring proof of vaccination from my clients.
Your time is valuable and my time is valuable. For that reason, I have the following policies:
Sessions include time spent filling out new patient intake forms, evaluating health history, and making a treatment plan. Please arrive 15 minutes early to your first appointment to allow extra time for filling out paperwork. (Download the new patient Health History Form).
An appointment is time reserved especially for you. If you are late, you will still be charged for the full session you booked regardless of whether I have time to go over or not.
If I am late, we will complete the full amount of time booked either that day or at a later time.
If you must cancel an appointment, please allow 24 hours notice to reschedule or you will be charged for that appointment (with exception for emergencies). I accept cancellations by phone only.
If I must cancel and reschedule an appointment due to illness or an emergency, I will call to do so as soon as possible. If it is within 24 hours of your appointment, I will provide the rescheduled session free of charge.
Please confirm with your doctor that massage is not contraindicated if you are taking any prescription medication or have any current medical conditions.
Any client under the age of 18 must have a parent or legal guardian present for the initial appointment to sign a consent form. (Download the Minor Consent Form).
