Dear Community and Clients,
I’ve missed you all so much. I miss working with you doing massage in the wellness room and practicing yoga alongside you in the Bellingham Yoga Collective studio. I get such joy from practicing bodywork and being a resource for those seeking relief from pain and restoration of function. It has been hard to be absent these past months.
According to the governing bodies for massage therapy in Washington State, massage therapists can start returning to providing “non-urgent” massage at this time, provided they can comply with many new safety protocols for limiting the spread of Covid-19. Because massage involves a lot of contact, therapists are taking extra precautions before returning to practice.
I am eager to get back to working with the lovely Bellingham community. However, I am due to give birth mid-July. It’s exciting, but it’s kind of taking over my life right now.
In light of the many factors still uncertain at this time surrounding Covid-19 and due to my impending maternal leave, I expect to return to my practice no earlier than late August or early September. It hurts to write that down; I don’t want it to be true. I want you to know that I’m thinking of you, missing the studio, and will be back as soon as I can! Over the past year, Bellingham Yoga Collective has become the home for my massage and movement practice that I’ve been looking for. I feel so nourished by all the positivity cultivated in that space.
When I do return, I will be putting in place new procedures in compliance with Covid-19 safety protocols to ensure the health and safety of myself, my patients, and all those who enter the wellness room as best I can.
In the meantime, this blog is a good place to go for updates on my practice. I look forward to working with you again soon! Feel free to reach out with questions about movement or massage anytime.
